If you need to cancel prior to 120 days of arrival, a 50% refund of deposit plus all processed payments to date will be given less a 3.5% processing fee and $400 cancellation fee.
After 120 days prior to your arrival date, all reservations are non-refundable.
Any refunds, in full or in part will incur a 3.5% transaction fee and a $400 cancellation fee.
Reservations booked through a third party web site, a Travel Agent or any other third party must observe their individual cancellation policy.
Parking
We offer free on-site gated parking for one vehicle per villa. All other vehicles must park on the street in front of the property.
Noise & Nuisance:
Excessive noise, including profane and abusive language that disturbs other guests and neighborhood residents is not allowed AT ANY TIME on the property.
Maui County “Quiet Hours” in residential neighborhoods must be observed from 9:00PM through 7:00AM. All noise levels must be brought inside and TV’s and stereos must be operated at a lower volume during this time.
Guests who receive any noise complaints will receive one warning. Guests who continue making noise will be required to relocate immediately and no refund will be issued. We take noise violations seriously to ensure the peace and quiet for our surrounding neighbors.
Any fines issued by Maui County for noise penalties will be deducted from the guest's damage deposit.
Miscellaneous:
Call the Property Manager as soon as possible if there are any maintenance issues. We will take care of it as soon as possible. Please do not wait until check out to let us know that something is not working.
Pets are not allowed on property.
Makoa Resorts properties access ways including sidewalks, passages, stairways, walkways and corridors must not be obstructed or used for any purpose other than ingress and egress. Items blocking access ways will be removed by Management.
No littering or defacing the property is allowed. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the building whether caused by guests or their family members.
Smoking is not allowed in the villas nor on the patios/lanai’s and within 25 feet of the building or common areas per Hawaii State Law.
No hazardous material such as fireworks, gasoline, kerosene, benzene, etc.. is allowed on the property.
When you leave the property at any time, whether for a short trip across the street to the beach or an excursion for the day, please shut all windows and lock all doors. The Maui tradewinds can come up quite suddenly and knock things over, and remember this is Paradise not Heaven… don’t make it easy for your valuables to be taken.
Please keep the walk-in gate closed at all times and doors locked for units and cars.
You are staying in a private residence, so please take care of it as you would your own property.
Please do not sit on the furniture with wet or sandy swimsuits or suntan lotions
Lost Key/opener – There is a cost of up to $200 charged to re-key the unit in the event that a key is lost and not turned in and a $300 charge for replacement of the gate opener not returned during check out.
Makoa Resorts properties management reserves the right to show the property to potential event vacationers, excluding units which are currently occupied by guests.
Supervision of children – Those families with children must pay special attention to their children while in unfamiliar surroundings. Keep children supervised. Minors are NOT allowed on grounds unless an adult is present.
Use Caution – Tenant acknowledges that most beaches DO NOT have lifeguard service and caution must be exercised at all times. Tenant is advised that Hawaiian waves, water and reefs, can present an unsafe situation. Use of public shoreline and ocean areas is solely up to the discretion of guest and guest’s invitees.
Please be aware of minimal lighting at night in Maui and be careful when walking in the evening hours. Flashlights are in each bedroom available for your use in case of a power outage. Energy Conservation: Please be energy considerate. Turn off the A/C, lights, fans, TV, stereo, etc… whenever you will be out of the villa. Windows must be closed while air conditioners are on. Liability Disclaimer:
By reserving your stay, it is agreed that Makoa Resorts properties shall not be responsible for loss, damage, injury, or death to the guest, family member or guest of a guest’s.
Client, family, and guest are required to carry insurance covering their own individual personal liability and personal property.
It is recommended that all guests purchase their own travel insurance to cover the cost of your deposits should you need to cancel your reservation for any reason.
By reserving your stay it is agreed that Makoa Resorts properties shall not be liable for failure to carry out arrangements as mentioned which are caused by industrial disputes or natural disasters.
Hurricane, Tsunami, or Storm Policy - NO Refunds will be given unless: a) The National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area” b) A “mandatory evacuation order has been given for the “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning” area of residence of a vacationing guest c) The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning” area, we will refund the following:
i) Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered
ii) Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the ‘Storm Warning’ is lifted
iii) Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the ‘Storm Warning”
Makoa Resorts properties shall be held harmless for any injury or harm to any members of the guest’s group while utilizing the Makoa Resorts properties facilities.
Makoa Resorts properties will not assume responsibility for damages to, or loss of, any merchandise or articles left, lost or stolen at the Makoa Resorts properties during or following the guest’s reservation or events.
Individual members of your group will be responsible for any damages to the Makoa Resorts properties facilities during the period of time of your stay.
